How many berths do you need?
Berths are designated sleeping places, and they set the shape of everything else. Two of you touring alone? A 2 berth gives you the most living space per metre. Regular guests or children? Move up the scale, but remember that berths and belted travel seats are separate specifications, so match the belts to the people travelling.
Which bedroom layout suits you?
This is the decision you will live with every night. Fixed beds stay made up and ready; drop down beds vanish into the ceiling to free the floorplan below. Island beds give walk around access like home, twin singles keep light sleepers happy, and a transverse bed packs a full double into a shorter, easier vehicle.

For most couples it comes down to fixed island bed against fixed singles: the island bed feels most like home, while singles win for undisturbed sleep and easy access. If daytime living matters more than a fixed bed, an end lounge with a drop down bed is a superb compromise.
What is the best motorhome for a family of four?
A 4 berth with a fixed bed for the adults and a drop down or overcab double for the children is the most popular family setup, because nobody rebuilds furniture at bedtime. Check that the belted travel seat count matches the family before you buy.

Do I need a special licence to drive a motorhome?
Motorhomes up to 3,500kg can be driven on a standard category B car licence. Heavier models need C1 entitlement, which most drivers who passed their test before 1997 already hold. We will confirm the weight and licence position on any model you are considering.
Can I try a motorhome before deciding?
