What are fixed single beds?
A fixed single bed layout places two separate beds at the rear of the motorhome, usually raised above a garage with a step or walkway between them. Each sleeper has their own mattress, their own duvet and their own way in and out, so nobody is woken by a partner getting up in the night.
On most models an infill cushion or slatted extension bridges the two beds to create one huge double, so you are never locked into single life. The raised position also creates superb storage below, with many layouts offering a garage big enough for electric bikes and outdoor furniture.

Why choose fixed single beds over a double?
Easy access is the big one. Each person can get in and out without disturbing the other, which matters if either of you gets up in the night. You also each get your own mattress, your own duvet and your own reading light.
Can fixed single beds convert into a double?
On most models, yes. An infill cushion or slatted extension bridges the gap between the two singles, creating one very large double bed whenever you want it.
How long are the beds?
Typically between 185cm and 200cm, and on many layouts the two singles are different lengths, so taller partners should try both sides. We will confirm exact dimensions on any model you are considering.
Why are the single beds raised up?
Raised singles sit above a rear garage, giving you a huge storage area for chairs, awnings, electric bikes and outdoor kit, usually with steps and a grab handle for easy access to the beds.
